Timothy Richard Flatten, age 51, of La Crosse, WI, died Friday, December 8, 2023, at his home in La Crosse, due to recent health complications.
Tim was born November 5, 1972 in La Crosse, the son of Richard and Sharon (Buege) Flatten. Tim was a 1991 graduate of Cotter High School. In school he enjoyed playing football and basketball. With his love of music, Tim spent his free time playing his guitar. He was united in marriage to Robyn Buege on October 9, 1999, and they had two children, who were his greatest love and accomplishment. The couple later divorced in 2012. His greatest passion was cooking, where he spent the majority of his career as a Sous Chef at Bon Appétit in Minneapolis, and later Chartwell’s at Winona State University. He relocated to La Crosse in 2015, and was most recently working for Couleecap.
Tim is survived by his parents, Richard and Sharon Flatten of Winona; children: Olivia and Connor Flatten, both of Winona, and their mother Robyn Shoemaker of Winona; sister Kim (Corey) Hancock of Rollingstone, MN; nephews: Cooper, Kyle, and Cameron Hancock; many extended family members and good friends.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Couleecap for the opportunities, support, and friendship they provided to Tim. Memorials are preferred to Couleecap, 700 3rd St N #202b, La Crosse, WI 54601
A memorial service will be held Friday, December 15, 2023, at 4:00 PM at Hoff Celebration of Life Center in Winona. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Please dress casually, and wear your favorite band t-shirt in Tim’s honor!
