Timmy "Tim" Ray passed away Sunday morning, May 5, 2024, in Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital surrounded by his family at 77.
He was born on October 29, 1946, in Ashland, Ohio to parents Henry & Miriam (Kirkham) Zody. After he graduated from Frankfurt American High School in Germany with the class of 1965, he proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He married Sharon A. Beans on May 15, 1970, and the couple have been together for 54 years.
Tim worked as the Transportation Supervisor for Loudonville- Perrysville Schools for 13 years until retiring in 2017. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 257 and a Lifetime member of the Perrysville VFW # 8586.
He is survived by his wife Sharon Ray; his children Vicki Ray of Dayton, Kristi Ray of Columbus, Adam (Kristie) Ray of Portage, MI, and his devoted sister-in-law Jamie Beans of Loudonville; his greatest blessings being his grandchildren Quinn, Owen, Asher, and Clara; his brothers John (Andrea) Zody and Scott (Mary) Zody; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law Dean & Marilyn Beans.
No public services will be held at this time, and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio Health Hospice.

My strongest memory of Tim was when I bought a used motorcycle (Honda Superhawk) from him in 1968. Didn't know him very well, but we talked on rare occasions, and I liked him. Guess if was God's planned time for him to move on.
