Dahlke Life Celebration Center - ManawaTim A. Schultz passed away peacefully on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Cherry Meadows Hospice at the age of 68 from cancer. Tim was born the youngest of three children to Mayford and Jane Schultz. Tim was raised on a farm on the west end of Bear Lake in the Township of Little Wolf. Tim attended St. Paul's Lutheran School of Manawa, played basketball, and was confirmed. He then attended Manawa High School and met the love of his life, Cathy Tessen. They married on September 11, 1976, and welcomed their first child, Heather, and shortly later their second child, Jason.
In his early years, Tim worked at Symco Cheese Factory, which he then started driving milk truck until the sale of the route to others. Tim then worked with his grandfather, Arnie, at Iola Golf Course. This is where he took up the sport of golfing. He also drove a sanitation truck for a few years after working the golf course. Tim found his true calling in 1983 when he was hired by Quality Concrete of Manawa. He picked up the skill of being an excavator operator. He had many good teachers there. In 2014 when Quality Concrete was slowing down, he went to work for Al Dix Concrete in Kaukauna, WI. Tim worked for Al Dix Concrete until the spring of 2025 when he was diagnosed with cancer.
Tim is survived by his wife, Cathy; daughter, Heather Schultz-Skowen (Jason Skowen); son, Jason Schultz (Leann Schultz); fur friend, Cooper; his older sister, Barbara Schultz-Wickman (Randy Wickman) and older brother, Gary Schultz (Teri Schultz); seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Janice Tessen; brothers-in-law: Randy Tessen (Jennifer), Mark Tessen, Bill Tessen (Lisa), Scott Tessen (Sara), Mike Tessen; sisters-in-law: Wendy Tessen and Sherry Tessen; nieces and nephews.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Mayford and Jane Schultz; father-in-Law, Charles Tessen; grandparents, Arno and Edna Schultz and Ethel Doughty; niece, Jenny Hacker; cousin, Mary Margaret (Hansen) Stachowiak; very special brother-in-law, Al Tessen.
Special thanks of sincere gratitude to the physicians, nursing staff, and hospice staff for the amazing care delivered throughout the past year.
