Victoria (Vicki) M. Knapstein Sigl, 68, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026. Vicki was the second daughter to Ronald & Rhodonna Knapstein born on December 6, 1957. Vicki was born in the same year as her older sister and made sure everyone she met, knew that she was an Irish twin. Vicki and her 6 siblings grew up in Royalton on a hobby farm and had a great childhood and then at age 15 she was diagnosed with schizophrenia. She battled this life altering mental illness her entire life with humor, laughter and joy in making others laugh with her. Vicki was also born with an inherited gene deformity called the Lynch Syndrome. This meant she was more susceptible to cancer, especially colon cancer. Vicki suffered cancer 5 different times with 5 different kinds of cancer in her life. Her mother and grandfather also suffered from the same syndrome.
Vicki was very proud of her daughter, Cheri, and her beautiful family. After Vicki's husband, Christopher, passed away, Vicki and Cheri moved to Manawa to be near the rest of her family. Cheri joined the military when she was 17 yrs old and is now retired after serving our great country for 20 years and Vicki loved telling everyone about how proud she was of Cheri. Eventually Vicki was unable to walk anymore and had lots of health issues and went to live at Bethany Home in Waupaca. There she enjoyed telling her jokes and playing bingo, cards and dice and she loved to gamble. Her favorite actor was DuWayne, The Rock, Johnson - she loved his smile and physique and had a life size poster of him on her wall.
Vicki suffered mental and health issues more than anyone else we ever knew, but she knew how to survive these adversities and still make people laugh, that was her favorite thing.
Gone to heaven, waiting for Vicki, is her mother, Rhodonna (Donna) Knapstein.
Vicki is survived by her daughter, Cheri (Jose) Chacon; her grandchildren: Jose the 5th and Olivia; her father, Ronald (Dolly) Knapstein; siblings: Karen (Tom) Squires, Kris (Mark) Schultz, David Knapstein, Cheryl (Mike Larson) Knapstein, Joseph (Karen) Knapstein and Allen (Rachel) Knapstein; step brother, Jack Hanson; nieces and nephews: MacKenzie Faskell, Josie Faskell, Kolette (Dan Barthalow) Knapstein, Tara Jo Knapstein, Alyssa Knapstein, Justin, William, Aubrey Knapstein, Ronnie (Sarah) Knapstein and Faye (Josh Loken) Knapstein.
