Tim J. Zandell, a cherished husband and a dedicated state trooper, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2025, in Olympia, Washington, at the age of 84. Born on May 25, 1941, in Olympia, he lived a life marked by ambition, honesty, and loyalty to his family and his community.

Tim devoted over four decades of his life to the Washington State Patrol, serving valiantly from 1960 until his retirement in 2001. His dedication to public service was further exemplified through his time in the United States Marine Corps Reserve from 1963 to 1969. Tim's steadfast commitment to his work not only earned him the respect of his colleagues but also the admiration of the citizens he served.

Outside of his career, Tim was a pioneer in his community. Tim's Great Grandfather, John A. Zandell, homesteaded in Thurston County, contributing to the rich heritage of Washington state. His legacy as a state pioneer is a testament to his adventurous spirit and his love for the area he called home.

Tim is survived by his beloved wife, Mindee Zandell. Tim is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Zandell and Vivienne Huber. He will be remembered not only for his professional achievements but also for the warmth he brought to the lives of those around him.

At this time, there are no services planned. The family kindly invites those who wish to express their condolences to honor Tim's memory in their own personal way. Tim J. Zandell's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his legacy will continue to inspire future generations.
