Obituary of Timothy Wick Anderson
Timothy W. Anderson ("Tim") b: 1/2/52. d: 10/1/23.
Tim Anderson was a chef during the explosion of celebrity chefs and new cuisines. He worked in many states including Florida, California, Texas, Colorado, New York, and Minnesota. Tim began cooking early growing up on a farm near Conway, Arkanasas, from his Mother. He took his culinary career to the national level appearing on "Good Morning America" and prepared dinner for Mikhail Gorbachev at the Governor's Mansion for Rudy Perpich in St. Paul, MN. Tim helped start Goodfellow's in Mpls, where he was Executive Chef and winner of Food & Wine's "America's Best New Chefs" in 1991. His passion found him in the kitchen 15-16 hours a day; "to be successful at anything, you've pretty much got to be obsessed with it".
Per Tim's wishes, no services will be held.

I knew Tim for the short time I worked at Goodfellow´s. I was a baker there so I didn´t have as direct contact with him as the kitchen staff did. I liked Tim and thought he was very nice.
One day he made a peach jalapeño chutney for some pork chops. It was a first for me but maybe not for others. I loved it and still remember that first taste.
RIP Chef

Tim and I prepared a 4-course anniversary dinner in Dallas for my business partner's parents in Minneapolis. We checked as baggage the well-packed food, as usual, to bring with us. I was responsible for dessert - Macadamia Nut Bombe with Ginger Creme Anglaise. When I arrived at the airport, Tim had just passed security, where he saw me, and screamed: "Stephan, did you remember to bring the bombes?". I had to explain to security that a bombe was not a bomb even if pronounced the same. RIP old friend. - Chef Stephan Pyles
