Timothy Wayne Bailey, known affectionately as Tim to his friends and family, passed away peacefully at the age of 71 in the comfort of his home in Reese on May 10, 2025. Born on December 15, 1953, in Saginaw, to the late Clarence and Sally (Heilborn) Bailey. Tim was a man whose laughter and love knew no bounds.
Tim's early years were spent in Saginaw, running the streets. He developed a strong work ethic selling produce at the local farmer's market. His dedication to service was further exemplified when he proudly served his country in the United States Army, stationed in Korea. Upon returning home, Tim's heart led him to the love of his life, Delphine Schmidt. They were married at the Japanese Gardens in Saginaw on August 7, 1976, and together they raised two wonderful daughters. Tim's entrepreneurial spirit shone through as he owned and operated Reese Pet Supply for many years, endearing himself to the community not only as a businessman but also as a friend. He was also employed as a Truck driver for many years.
Family was the cornerstone of Tim's life. He leaves behind his loving wife, Delphine Bailey, his daughters, Cindie (Ryan) Dulaney and Kristy (Scott) Rutkoski and his cherished grandchildren, Isaiah, Alex, Isabella, Max. He is also survived by his siblings, Kelly "Bear" (Janie) Bailey and Wendy Bailey. Tim's faithful companion, his dog Samson, will miss his gentle presence. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Clarence "Butch" Bailey, Sally Bailey, and Sheila Bailey, who have welcomed him into eternal rest.
Tim's love for his family and friends was often expressed through his passion for food. To him, food was love, and he took every opportunity to feed those around him, whether it was bringing his family donuts or hosting a feast. His mug collection was a testament to the many cups of coffee shared with family and friends. He received joy in driving his Lincoln and snow blowing driveways for neighbors showcased his desire to help anyone in need.
Those who knew Tim will remember him for his big heart. He was funny, loving, and thoughtful. His legacy of love and laughter will live on in the stories told by his family and the fond memories shared by his friends.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Ware Smith Woolever Funeral Home - Reese Chapel, 9940 Saginaw St, Reese.
