Kickapoo- Timothy Wayne Beckman, age 80, of Kickapoo, died at his home on Monday, November 20, 2023, surrounded by his family.
Born May 11, 1943 in Peoria, IL to William C. and M. Madelyn (Casey) Beckman. He married Patricia Ann Hanley on January 22, 1966 at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Peoria, and together Tim and Pat celebrated 57 years of marriage.
Tim is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughter Jennifer (Sara) of Morton, IL, their children Annabelle and Timothy; daughter Jamie (Brian) Johnson of Kickapoo, their children Rileigh, Amelia, and Alex; son Brady (Toni) of Milton, WV, and their children Tylr, Brynn, Sven, Francesca, and Pennelope; two brothers: Bill and Bob Beckman and one sister Joan Papis.
He was a storekeeper for Central Illinois Light Company for the first 34 years of his career and a courier for OSF St. Francis Medical Center for the last 22 years before fully retiring in 2021. A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, he attended boot camp at Parris Island, South Carolina in 1964. He remained an active reservist with the 4th Marine Division until being honorably discharged in 1970.
In his younger years, he was a boxer in the golden gloves in Champaign, IL (1961) and Springfield, IL (1962). Tim coached youth girls' softball for Kickapoo Lassie League, coaching his daughters and nieces. He continued to coach and assistant coach his granddaughters thru their college years. Tim also officiated IHSA for 38 years and was inducted into the Peoria Officials Association Hall of Fame in 2003. His biggest thrill, as an official, was refereeing the Notre Dame versus Bradley Women's College Basketball game at Bradley Field House in 1983.
Always one to do for others, he was a 22-gallon Red Cross Blood Donor. Tim was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Kickapoo from 1967 until his death. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, who was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held at St. Mary's Parish Hall in Kickapoo on Sunday, November 26, 2023 between the hours of 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM. A reading of the prayer to St. Peregrine will take place at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Kickapoo on Monday, November 27, 2023 at 11:00 AM with an additional visitation being held one hour prior to mass. Father James Pankiewicz and Father Joseph Dondanville will officiate, and burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery in Kickapoo.
Preferred memorials in Tim's memory may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Kickapoo or make checks out to Tim's wife, Pat Beckman, for a memorial bench to be given to Illinois Cancer Center thru the family.

Much love to the Beckmann family. Tim always had a way to make my day. We loved to talk about sports, shared the same patriotic feelings, and just loved to talk. He did that well. He was authentic and real all the time. We made each other laugh and I will miss him. A big loving hug to Pat. May he be a part of our memories forever.
