Timothy A. Bloodsworth, age 70, of Oskaloosa, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at his home in Oskaloosa under hospice care, surrounded by his loved ones. Tim was born on October 17, 1954, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, the son of Russel and Doris (Newell) Bloodsworth. He attended Oskaloosa High School and graduated with the Class of 1973.
Tim worked as an Assembler for Vermeer Corporation for 30 plus years until his retirement. He enjoyed playing golf, being outdoors, fishing, and gaming. He never met a stranger and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed being an active "girl" dad and participating in girl scouts and coaching softball throughout the years. He enjoyed cooking for anyone who wanted to eat and loved sharing meals.
He is survived by his children, Randi R. Bloodsworth of Oskaloosa, Iowa, Amanda (Nick) Buwalda of Mesa, Arizona and April (Matt) Molyneux of What Cheer, Iowa; his grandchildren, Devin Bloodsworth, Trinity Bloodsworth, Sidona Buwalda, Kaitlyn Molyneux and Kennedy Molyneux; his father, Russel Bloodsworth; his sisters, Danette Briggs and Susanne Kelly and his beloved cat, Puddy.
Tim was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Gerard; his stepfather, Glen Gerard and a stepmother, Rose Bloodsworth.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025, at 10:30 at the Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa with pastor Molly Goodrich officiating. Burial will follow services at the Forest Cemetery in Oskaloosa. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 16, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. with Tim's family present to greet relatives and guests. Memorials may be made to Tim's family. Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
