Timothy Bowling Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by John M. Ireland & Son Funeral Home and Chapel on Dec. 16, 2025.
Timothy Buck Bowling was taken from this world and on to the next on December 12, 2025, after a six month battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
Tim was born to Roland and Lurene (Dunn) Bowling on August 14, 1976 in Norman, OK. Tim was the last of four children, sisters Shirley, Brenda, and Patricia. Tim was the apple of everyone's eye, including his sisters and aunts and uncles. Tim grew up in Norman, as a child he loved riding bicycles, driving anything with a motor, hunting and fishing. Tim continued these hobbies until his illness. Family and friendship were the most important things to Tim.
Tim was employed by IOOF Cemetery and Norman Monument Company at 19 years old. At the time of Tim's diagnosis he was still employed by IOOF as the manager. Tim took great pride ensuring the cemetery was a place of comfort and peace for the families of loved ones buried there.
Tim married the love of his life, Becky (Graham) on June 24, 2002 in Fabulous Viva Las Vegas, surrounded by family. They lived in Noble for a short time, then moved to "The Ponderosa" in 2005, where he and his family lived for 20 years. Tim and Becky had their only daughter on January 29, 2008. The love that Tim had for his daughter was immeasurable, they enjoyed camping, bike riding and picnics at the lake together.
Tim had many "lifetime" friends, friends he had known since he was a child and friendships he made as an adult that were prepared to last a lifetime. Those friends, Becky's friends, and family have shown great kindness and love to Tim, Becky, and Dylan over these last months; yard work, cooking, cleaning, packing, spending time and providing support in many different ways. They are so grateful and blessed, thank you.
Tim is survived by his wife Becky and daughter Dylan Mae, sister Brenda Landreth (husband Danny), Patricia Hawley (husband Vince)Aunts Sallie Bowling and Pat Rogers, Aunt Rhonda Hunter (husband Ben), three nieces and one nephew (their partners) and 3 great nieces and one great nephew and many other family and friends that were truly loved by Tim. Tim was proceeded in death by his parents Roland and Lurene Bowling, his sister Shirley, his in-laws Larry and Dixie Graham, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and other family and friends that have been deeply missed since their passing.
A celebration of Tim's life will be held Saturday, December 27, at 5:00PM at The Railhouse in Norman.
Condolences and flowers may be sent to John Ireland Funeral Home in Moore to be picked up by the family. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Timothy, please visit our floral store.

I am thankful for meeting Tim even though it was only once. Through Becky, I knew him to be the love of her life and a great father to Dylan. Keeping his family close to my heart.
