Timothy Lynn Broughton, 67 of Danville, WV departed this life on December 12, 2023 at his residence.
He was born August 16, 1956 in Madison, WV the son of the late William "Jr" and Dorothy Broughton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Samuel Chambers, Myrtle Miller, Malin and Gertie Broughton; and brother, William (Sonny) Broughton.
Timothy enjoyed reading his Bible, playing his guitar, and collecting Zippo lighters. He was an avid Nascar fan and loved putting models together.
Those left to cherish his memory include his companion and best friend, Wilma Adkins; sons, George "G.W" (Autumn) of Danville, WV, Jeremy of Wyoming, and Luke (Jodi) Browning of Danville, WV; daughter, Shana Mayer of Wyoming; sister, Lisa (Gerald) Gossage; brothers, Paul Wayne (Rachel) Chambers, Charles "Eddy" (Debra) Broughton, and Mark (Pamela) Broughton; grandchildren, Derek, Jennings, Sammy, Justis, Mason, Calliope, Emilee, Anna, and Karleigh Browning; great-grandchildren, Emmett and Tinlee; several nieces, nephews, extended family, and special friend, Bandit. The family would like to give a special thank you to Dignity Hospice; Stephanie Sigmon, Stephanie Hurley, Abby Ferrell, and Dr. Howard Lafferty.
Visitation will be on Monday, December 18, 2023 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Freeman Funeral Home.
Services will be held at 1:00pm, Monday, December 18, 2023 at the funeral home with David May officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Freeman Funeral Home.
