Timothy Burch Obituary

Timothy Sean Burch was born November 17, 1966, to Bobby Ray Burch and Carol Beal Burch in Clovis, NM where he lived most of his life.
He is survived by his Mother, Carol Burch Stallings (husband, Les) of Brentwood, TN, brother, W. Jeff Burch (wife, Virginie) of Corona Del Mar, CA, uncles, aunts, cousins and a host of many good friends.
Sean was a lifelong member of Clovis First Church of the Nazarene (now Living Stones Community Church of the Nazarene). During the last few years of his life he also attended Faith Christian Family Church. He spent many hours listening to music, and was especially fond of Gospel quartet and the Gaither Homecoming Video Series. He enjoyed many types and styles of music, most especially country.
His higher education began at Colorado State University (CSU), Fort Collins, CO, and continued at Eastern New Mexico University (ENMU), Portales, NM. During his degree pursuit at ENMU he was awarded a teaching assistantship. He also studied business and real estate, and worked in his father's real estate company, Town and Country Real Estate, Inc. in Clovis.
He was not only an avid reader, but an avid learner whose interests spanned many subjects, most especially history. He enjoyed sports, both as a participant and as a fan/spectator. During earlier years he played golf and was competitive. During more recent years he followed sports as a spectator, although closely - especially golf, horse racing and football. It would be difficult to find someone who followed the New Orleans Saints as closely and with as much energy and enthusiasm as Sean.
Sean loved to cook. Although not formally credentialed, he was an accomplished chef, and preferred to prepare festive, complex meals at home, rather than to dine out. He often shared with his Mother, by phone, the processes involved during food preparation, as well as jointly celebrating the results. They often exchanged recipes.
Among those things to which he was most devoted was his small dog named "Squirt," a Bichon Frise. Very little was as important to Sean as providing the finest care for his pet. We are pleased that she has found a wonderful new home.
Sean was preceded in death by his brother, Greggory Ray Burch, his father, Bobby Ray Burch, fraternal grandparents, Fred and Ida Burch, maternal grandparents, W.D. and Billie Beal and two uncles, H. D. Beal and Wm. Sam Beal.
Funeral services will be held Monday July 28, 2025, at 1:00PM at Living Stones Community Church of the Nazarene, 1800 N. Norris St, Clovis, NM with Reverend Mack Rogers officiating. Burial to follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Muffley Funeral Home, www.muffleyfuneralhome.com, (575)762-4435.
