Timothy R. "Tim" Buskirk

Timothy R. "Tim" Buskirk, 65, of Erie, died at 11:45 p.m., Friday, May 23, 2025 at his home, following a brief illness.
He was born October 8, 1959, at Upper Sandusky, Ohio to Rodger D. and Pauline (Kollar) Buskirk and came with his family to Erie in 1965. He graduated from Erie High School in 1978 and attended Neosho County Community College.
His early employment was with the Neosho County Noxious Weed Department and Bushhog in Galesburg. Since 1987 he has worked for Midwest Minerals as quality control supervisor.
Tim and Connie Yockey were married on June 6, 1981 at the Federated Church in Erie. She survives of the home.
He was an avid sports fan, especially following the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals, K. U. basketball and Ohio State football. He loved watching golf and was a fan of Arnold Palmer and Phil Mickelson. He enjoyed bowling and in 2013 and 2022 bowled a perfect game of 300. Family was very important to him and following his grandchildren's activities. He was a member of the Erie Federated Church.
In addition to his wife, Connie, he is survived by a son, Jason Buskirk (Debbie) and a daughter Janelle Smith (Josh), all of Erie; his mother, Pauline Buskirk of Erie; grandchildren, Alexis Smith, Lane Smith, Kinsley Smith, J. J. Rice (Keylee), Vanessa Cool (Jerry), Lane Pickett (Krystina), Austin Pickett and Alexa Pickett; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Craig Buskirk (Deborah) of Owens Cross Roads, Alabama and Rodger Buskirk (Kay) of Wichita; sisters-in-law, Gail Bush (Brian) of Wichita and Cindy Johnson of Chanute and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death is his father, Rodger Buskirk; sisters, Susan Montgomery and Deborah Payne; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gerald and Beverly Yockey.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 30, at the Erie Federated Church, with Rev. Shella Choi and Russ Vallier officiating. Burial will be in East Hill Cemetery in Erie. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, at the Pierce-Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Erie.
