Timothy "Tim" Sheldon Cooper passed away at his home in Cass Lake, MN. May 16, 2025. He was born on September 27, 1949, to Acklin Jr. and June (Brose) Cooper in Minneapolis, MN.
Tim grew up across from Powderhorn Park in South Minneapolis. He spent many hours at the park, enjoying his childhood. His dad worked many jobs before becoming a switchman for the railroad. After his dad got injured working for the railroad, they moved to Cass Lake, MN where they bought Sah Kah Tay Beach Resort.
Tim learned his work ethic by working at the resort as a teen. He loved to hunt, fish, ride motorcycle, and most importantly spend time with his family.
Those Tim leaves behind to cherish his memory are his son, Troy Cooper; daughters, Lurinda DeFoe and Teara Cooper; siblings, Rennae Gliddon and Dale Cooper; grandchildren, Ainsley Rae Cooper, Alyssa Marie Cooper, Andrew Kennedy Cooper, Renee DeFoe, Teddi DeFoe, Alisha DeFoe, Roxanne McDermott, Ryanne McDermott;13 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Preceding Tim in death is his loving wife of 40 years, Diane Marie (Williams); parents, June and Acklin Jr.; and his grandparents.
A Celebration of Tim's Life will be held Saturday, May 31, 2025, 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at the Farden Township Hall in Cass Lake, MN. A private inurnment is being planned for a different date in Farris Cemetery in Cass Lake.
Tim's care has been entrusted to Northern Peace Funeral Home of Walker, MN. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.northernpeace.com
