Timothy Debevec Obituary
was called by the Lord to be with Him on Monday, April 22, 2024.
Born March 24, 1947 in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late John and Alice
(Stark) Debevec. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in March 1966 and married
Carolyn K. Cutright on October 21, 1967. His military service, which spanned 24 years, took
him to the Philippines, California, Virginia, Vietnam, Thailand, and Germany. He served the
last nine years of his military career at Norton Air Force Base in San Bernardino, California
until his retirement from the military in 1992. He then worked various jobs, his last six years
of employment being with San Manuel Indian Casino in San Bernardino, California as a
Personal Safety Attendant until he retired in 2012.
He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, painting, reading, and spending time with his
grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn K. Debevec; his sons Timothy F. (Janette) Debevec
of Mesa, Arizona, and Richard P. (Kristine) Debevec of Ben Wheeler, Texas; four
grandchildren: Hayden P. (Tiffanie) Debevec of Ben Wheeler, Texas, Dawson J. (Alison)
Debevec of Mesa, Arizona, Sadie M. Debevec, and Kyndle C. Debevec, both of Ben
Wheeler, Texas; and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Jonathon
J. (Marilyn) Debevec of Goldsboro, North Carolina, his brother Mark R. (Connie) Debevec of
Geneva, Ohio, his brother-in-law John Dolan of Jacksonville, Florida, and numerous cousins,
niece and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his infant sister Margaret Mary; and his
sister Rosann Dolan.
A memorial celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 3, 2024, at
Chandler Memorial Funeral Home in Chandler. The interment ceremony will be held on
Wednesday June 5, 2024, at 1:15 p.m. at Dallas National Veterans Cemetery in Dallas,
Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Alzheimer's Research or
the American Heart Association.
