Timothy "Tim" W. Griffin Obituary
On Friday, August 16, 2024, Timothy Ward Griffin (63), turned the page to the next chapter of his life.
Tim was the fifth child of Charles F. and Mary E. Griffin. Born in Jeffersonville. He arrived ten years after the fourth child. As a dwarf he had to deal with many challenges, but he knew how to stand his ground while being kind and loving to everyone he met. His goal was to put a smile on the face of anyone he met. His happiest moments came when he met the love of his life – Dave Willis. They were together about six years before they tied the knot on May 13, 2014.
He was Treasurer of the Little People of America – Kentucky Chapter, Little Colonels and accountant for the Bluegrass Classic Bowling League. Tim loved his dogs – Skip, Ruby, Toot, Tigger, Stormy, Redd,.
The last chapter for Tim on earth was a six-month medical challenge. A special thanks to his nephew, John Griffin, Jr., who tirelessly stood by Tim's side throughout this time. The family would also like to thank all his friends for their support and especially to Tony Kimbro, a close friend of Tim's, who used Facebook to keep Tim's friends informed about his status and was there with family as Tim took his last breath.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Mackey Storms Griffin, and husband Dave Willis.
Survivors include his siblings Charles F. Griffin (Rosie), John R. Griffin, Mary A. Myers (Wayne) and four nephews and five nieces. Stepchildren: Wadena Gilkey (Donnie), David Willis, Jr. (Julie) and Heather Willis (Ember); four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial visitation will be from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm Wednesday, August 21, 2024, followed by memorial service at 6:00 pm at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville.
If Tim were here today, I am sure he would tell you to dress casually and wear a smile.
