Timothy Gerald Groover (Gator)
November 24, 1965 – June 17, 2025
Timothy Gerald Groover, affectionately known as "Gator," passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, in Brooksville, Florida at the age of 59.
Born on November 24, 1965, in Dade City, Florida, Timothy was the son of Gerald Lee Groover and Phyllis Diane Raleigh. He was a proud graduate of Pasco High School and went on to lead a life marked by dedication, integrity, and a tireless work ethic. He spent his career as a heavy equipment hauler and served honorably in the Army National Guard. His work took him through Dade City, North Carolina, Nebraska, and finally back to Brooksville, where he made his home.
Timothy was a devoted father to his son, Kyle Groover, and daughter, Kayla Ann Groover. He is also survived by his siblings: brothers Ray and Ricky, and sister Laurie. He will be remembered as a hard worker, a loyal friend, and a family man who always made time for those he loved.
A visitation will be held at Hodges Family Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the National Cemetery in Bushnell.
Timothy's legacy of service, strength, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
