Timothy Konwinski Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Jones-Wynn Funeral Home and Crematory - Douglas Chapel on Dec. 11, 2025.
Timothy Neil Konwinski, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away surrounded by love and faith. Born in Pontiac, Illinois, on March 23, 1954, to John and Willma Konwinski, Tim grew up in Minonk, Illinois, where he developed a lifelong appreciation for hard work, family, and the beauty of the outdoors.
Tim married his devoted wife, Debbie, with whom he shared 51 years of love, partnership, and faith. Together they built a family rooted in kindness and spiritual hope. He is survived by his wife Debbie; his brother Stephen Konwinski; sister Lisa Proffitt; and his five children and their spouses: Jamie and Jared, Jason and Jeanette, Lindsey, Andy and Beth, and Caleb and Loraine. He was a proud grandfather to Walter Mac, Eve, Olive, and Gavin, who brought him immense joy.
A skilled Journeyman Patternmaker, Tim dedicated his professional life to craftsmanship and precision. Beyond his trade, he served faithfully as a Minister among Jehovah's Witnesses, where he found his greatest purpose in teaching others about the Bible. His spiritual hope was to be resurrected into a paradise earth, a belief that guided his life and gave him peace.
Tim's talents extended far beyond his profession. He was a gifted handyman who could fix almost anything, and he was always ready to lend a hand with projects big or small. Whether repairing, building, or simply offering practical advice, he found joy in helping others and left behind countless acts of kindness through his skills.
Tim's passions reflected his love for creation. He cherished the mountains, forests, and open roads, often riding his motorcycle through nature's beauty. Most of all, he treasured time spent with his grandchildren, sharing stories, laughter, and lessons that will live on in their hearts.
Tim will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his love of family, his generosity in helping others, and his appreciation for the simple joys of life. His legacy continues in the lives of those he touched, and his memory will remain a source of comfort and inspiration.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2025 at 4:30 PM EST at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 387 Hiram Sudie Road, Dallas, GA 30157.
