Timothy Joseph Leurquin, 67, passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 10, 2025, at his home in Urbana, Missouri.
Though he spent his final chapter in Missouri, Tim was a Green Bay, Wisconsin man through and through-his heart, humor, and hometown pride always rooted in the place he called home for most of his life.
Born in Green Bay on March 19, 1958, Tim lived a life rich in faith, family, and laughter. For 40 years, he was devoted to his wife and best friend, Ann Mary (Mikulsky) Leurquin. Together, they built a home full of love, projects, and perfectly timed dad jokes.
A skilled welder by trade, Tim also had an unmistakable creative streak. He loved nature, fishing, hunting, telling corny jokes, working on projects with his grandkids, and making music. Whether singing just for fun or performing at events, Tim's love for music was another way he brought joy to those around him. He was a man of grit and compassion-strong-willed, inventive, and always ready with a quick wit or an encouraging word. Whether sharing stories about Canadian blue spruces, warning everyone not to use their arms to roll up extension cords, or slipping into the tale of the "I'm Not Happy dwarf," he had a knack for turning everyday moments into lasting memories.
Tim was a man after God's own heart and lived as a First Century Believer (He followed the whole bible from beginning to end to end), valuing faith, family, and the simple joys of life. His legacy lives on in the laughter he inspired and the wisdom he left behind-especially his reminder: "Don't work too hard but enjoy family time and LIVE!!!"
He is survived by his wife Ann Mary (Mikulsky) Leurquin; his children Josh (Kari) Leurquin, Nate (Laurel) Leurquin, and Sarah Leurquin (Duane Smith); and his grandchildren Luna, Feyre, Talia, Fletcher, Fisher, Wilder, Porter, and Gabriel Smith. He is also survived by his mother Laverne (Heyrman) Leurquin; his siblings Gwen (Dave) Craanen, Darell (Lynn) Leurquin, and Greg (Cindy) Leurquin; and a dear family friend, Jan Petersen, who was lovingly welcomed into their home and became like family.
He was preceded in death by his father Ralph Leurquin and his sister Nancy (Leurquin) Hruska.
A celebration of life will be held at 2902 US-65, Urbana, MO 65767. Flowers may be sent to this address in honor of Tim.
Though he has left this earth, his cheesy jokes, ornery grin, and deep love for his family and the Lord remain etched in our hearts. He was our Poppy, our Grandpa, our father, husband, our encourager, and our comic relief-and we will miss him deeply.
