Tim McQuade, age 51, of Neillsville, WI passed on to eternal life Friday, September 21, 2012 in the Palliative Care Unit of St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, WI after a 4 month battle with Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer. Timothy Raymond McQuade was born on February 17, 1961 in Spooner, WI, the son of Raymond and Betty (Roberts) McQuade. He graduated from Spooner High School in 1979. He moved to Neillsville in 1982 to manage the Strike Time Lanes Bowling Alley. He then managed the Neillsville Country Club from 1988 to 1990. Tim also owned the Merchant's Hotel in Neillsville and operated "The Cellar" bar. On December 30, 1996 he was united in marriage to Julie Lueck in Branson, MO. For the past 21 years, Tim owned and operated McQuade Financial Services along with his wife Julie from their home in Neillsville. Tim's continued education culminated with degrees as Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU). Tim served on numerous financial association boards including Central Wisconsin NAIFA and FIFE. Tim had a joy and passion that touched many people in varying walks and circles of life. His love of golfing, fishing, hunting, boy scouting, and watching the Packers and Brewers kept him active and entertained, along with his love for diet Coke and Texas Hold 'Em. Tim also loved spending time at his woods and cabin with his family and friends and his beagle Lucy. Tim will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Julie, three sons, Jared McQuade of Grand Forks, ND, Jacob McQuade of Maple Grove, MN and Logan McQuade of Neillsville, WI. He was also blessed with a granddaughter, Penelope Ann McQuade. Tim is also survived by two brothers, Randall (Cheri) McQuade and Samuel (Lorri) McQuade both of Spooner, WI, one sister, Pamela (Perry) Ketterling of Tucson, AZ, and many nieces and nephews. Tim is also survived by his mother-in-law, Gerry Lueck of Neillsville, WI, and his sisters/brothers-in-law, Sharon (Daniel) Helwig of Marshfield, WI, Linda (Mark) Hemp of Neillsville, WI, Janis (Michael) Truax of Northfield, MN and Donna (Scott) Stejskal of Grand Rapids, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Betty McQuade and his father-in-law, Wilmer Lueck. A Memorial Service for Tim will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, September 27, 2012 at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Pastor Joe Weiers of the Hillside Community Church in Neillsville will officiate. Interment will be in the Neillsville City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., Thursday at the Gesche Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Tim's family for designation at a later date.
