Wichmann Funeral Home - Laemmrich ChapelTimothy “Tim” James Nelson, age 65, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025, with family by his side.
Tim was born on December 22, 1959, in Neenah, WI, to Larry and Patricia (Petersen) Nelson. From 2005–2023, he worked in industrial sandblasting and painting a Profile Finishing Systems and eventually, becoming head of maintenance at WI Industrial Coatings Inc. Prior to that, he worked at R&M as a farm equipment mechanic. He was an intelligent man of many skills.
He will always be remembered for his great sense of humor, love of family, generous heart, and his ability to fix anything. A jack of all trades and a hardworking man, Tim leaves behind many fond memories—camping, fishing trips, golf, and family reunions. He was passionate about woodworking and classic cars, and he loved trips up north, nature, and visits to his brother’s cabin.
Tim enjoyed sitting by the fire, spending time with family, cheering for the Packers, and watching every golf tournament. He would never miss a local car show. He was a reliable friend and a selfless individual who would drop anything to lend a hand. He has impacted many lives.
Tim is survived by his father; Larry Nelson, brother; Daniel (Karen) Nelson, sister; Janey Nelson, son; Tim (Faith) Nelson, daughter; Jolene (Felix) Calvo, daughter; Sarah Nelson; grandchildren; Jack, Sawyer, Elizabeth, and June Nelson, Aletta, Ellis, nieces: Alyssa (Christina) Alcantar, Monica Nelson, Shawna (Phil) Ivacic, and Julia Nelson; nephews: David (Jenna) Nelson, Nic (Amy) Gedemer, and Eric Nelson.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Nelson, and his brother, Michael Nelson.
