Mr. Timothy Lee O'Berry, 60, passed away Monday (November 24, 2025) at his residence in Waycross following a short illness.
Tim was born in Waycross to the late Tallie O'Berry and Lizzie Boyd O'Berry Mercer. He was employed with Dubberly's Glass Shop in Blackshear for many years and also spent time working at Boatright's Glass Company. It was said that he loved everyone with his whole heart, especially his wife, Peggy. They were true soulmates. Tim had a gift for making everyone smile, even on the hardest days. He was an optimist who always saw the good in life and greeted everyone with the warmest smile. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and attending dirt track races, but most of all, he treasured spending time with his grandchildren and family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Peggy Margaret Corbitt O'Berry.
He is survived by three daughters, DeAnna Vaughn (Sean) of Waycross, Amanda Crosby (Kenny) of Waycross, and Talia Johnson (Chris) of Brantley County; six grandchildren, Nicholas Vaughn (Makala), Taylor Vaughn, Keagan Hunt (Americus), Kyndall Hunt, Camden Johnson, and Conner Crosby; three great-grandchildren, Eilla Vaughn, Knox Vaughn, and Weston Driggers; two brothers, Bobby O'Berry of Blackshear and Tony O'Berry (Tammy) of Waycross; four sisters, Betty Musgrove of Blackshear, Barbara Thomas of Waycross, Shannon Spikes (Ronnie) of Blackshear, and Brenda Steverson of Waycross; his mother-in-law, Pauline Corbitt of Waycross; two sisters-in-law, Sharon Cox (Raymond) and Barbara Taylor, both of Waycross; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday (November 29, 2025) at Swamp Road Baptist Church. Memorialization will be by cremation.
The family requests that all flower donations be directed to the church for the celebration of life.
