Timothy G. Reynolds, 62, of Rockford, walked into the loving arms of Jesus in the early morning hours of February 14, 2025. Timmy had battled dementia for over two years, but in the end, his loving little heart just gave out. He was born January 8, 1963 to Deward and Mable Reynolds in Rockford, Illinois.
The youngest of eleven children, Timmy was doted on by his entire family. He was the heart of this family, and was loved by everyone. To know him was to love him. He in turn loved everyone and had the most loving heart. Born with Downs, he had the most unique personality. Although he couldn't always articulate what he wanted to say, He could definitely convey what he wanted! He was doted on by ALL of his siblings and extended family.
Lovingly known as Pumpkin, Precious, Booger Butt, Timmo and Buddy. He loved family cookouts, fishing with his brothers, go carting with his nephew, parades and fireworks with a brother and shopping with his sisters. Timmy was an avid Ice Hogs and Blackhawks fan. He attended many games accompanied with a group of family members or sometimes with just a sister or a nephew. He once was selected to stand at the end of the tunnel and got to high five every player as they came onto the ice. What a thrill that was for him.
Funny story: Forrest, Timmy and I went to Target and they had a huge area that was all Blackhawk shirts and jerseys. Even though he already had seven Blackhawk jerseys, all it took was "please Barbie", and he owned eight. Anyway, the checkout lady didn't take the tags off the shirt and when we walked out the door the alarms started blaring and the lights were flashing! Without missing a beat, Timmy started pumping his arms up and down yelling "we win, we win"! Everyone coming in the store and going out cracked up! So many precious memories of him. I could go on and on.
Timmy loved the Lord, and he loved going to church. He was a member of First Born Ministries. He attended church with his sister, Janice. Everyone there loved him, and he loved them! An avid hugger, Timmy sometimes would surprise the hugee by trying to turn the hug into a dance. They were all very accepting of him.
Mom and Timmy lived with Barbara and Forrest for 40 years, becoming our joy to exclusively care for the last 16 years. He was our little man and took a piece of our hearts with him.
Timmy leaves behind his siblings, Barbara (Forrest) Noland, Janice (Arthur) Pavey, and Donald (Diana) Reynolds; 20 nieces and nephews; and innumerable great-nieces and nephews; and many great-great-nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Mable and Deward Reynolds; sister, Wanda; six brothers, Bill, Carl, Chuck, Willis, Dewey and Ronnie Reynolds; great-niece, Morgan Noland; and great-nephew, Jimmy Birmingham.
A special thank you to Serenity Hospice for providing his angels here on Earth. April, Jen, and Courtney, you girls went above and beyond to help in Timmy's care. He loved all of you.
Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at First Born Ministries, 8213 North Alpine Road, Loves Park, IL 61111. Visitation also on Friday, February 21, from 11:00am to 12:00pm followed by the Funeral at 12:00pm, also in the church, with Pastor Anthony Maynard officiating. Burial in Cedar Bluff Cemetery.
