Obituary published on Legacy.com by Roslyn Heights Funeral Home on Jan. 4, 2026.
Timothy A. Rini, of
Roslyn, NY, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on
January 1, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on April 6, 1962, Tim was the beloved son of
Barbara Rini and the late Rudolph Rini.
Tim was a devoted brother to Bill, Charlene Zabransky (Jim Zabransky), Barbara Ann
Rini, and Kathy Iacono (the late Marco Iacono). He was a cherished uncle to Jenna,
Eric, Allyson, Kevin, Victor, and Thomas, and he delighted in being surrounded by his
many great-nieces and great-nephews. He was adored by his aunts, uncles, and
cousins-especially his cousin Ronnie, his faithful sidekick and constant companion
through life's adventures.
A proud graduate of Roslyn High School, Tim continued his education at CW Post
College. He went on to become a Land Surveyor, working alongside his father in the
family business. His dedication, precision, and pride in his work were evident to all who
knew him.
Tim had an extraordinary sense of humor and a wonderfully dry wit. He possessed a
mischievous streak that made him endlessly entertaining-he loved to tease, to
surprise, and to make people laugh, often at the exact moment they least expected it.
His quick one-liners, clever observations, and playful spirit were trademarks of his
personality and brought joy to everyone around him.
Exceptionally well read and deeply passionate about current events, Tim could
converse with anyone about anything. His insight, curiosity, and humor made every
conversation memorable.
He found his greatest joy under the sun-by the ocean, at a pool, or anywhere he could
feel warmth on his face. The Hamptons and Montauk were among his favorite escapes,
as was Puerto Rico, where he traveled often and happily. Tim loved exploring new
places, savoring gourmet meals, and sharing laughter and stories with the countless
friends who adored him. His friendships were deep, loyal, and lifelong; he was loved by
dozens upon dozens of people who cherished his company.
Above all, Tim was a devoted companion and caregiver to his mother, Barbara. His love
for her was unwavering, and the bond they shared was one of the great constants of his
life.
Timmy faced his illness with remarkable bravery and grace. Though he has left this
world, the warmth, wit, and light he brought to his family, friends, and all who knew him
will continue to shine brightly.
He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
Visitation will be held at Roslyn Heights Funeral Home on Thursday from 3-7PM. Prayer Service will begin at 5:30PM.
Cremation will be private.
