Timothy Ripperger, 62, of Glenwood, died Friday, September 19, 2025, in Glenwood, IA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at the St. Edward's Catholic Church in Afton. Fr. Patrick Amedeka will officiate the service. Services will be livestreamed. Burial will be at St. Edward's Cemetery in Afton. Open visitation will be 2-7:00 p.m. Monday, September 22, 2025, at Powers Funeral Home in Afton, with family receiving friends from 5-7:00 p.m. There will be a rosary prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to the Hillcrest Hospice at 1702 W. Broadway, Suite 7, Council Bluffs, IA. 51501. Online condolences can be given at www.powersfh.com.

Timothy Alan Ripperger, son of Marvin Joseph Ripperger and Margaret Henretta (Mulica) Ripperger, was born on August 5, 1963, in Creston, Iowa. Timothy lived in the Afton area on the family farm. He moved to Glenwood in 1972, where he received skill training. He worked as a recycling technician in the recycling department and also lived in Council Bluffs for a short time, before returning to Glenwood. Timothy was a medal award winner in the catching events while participating in the Special Olympics over the years. Timothy loved watching nature, especially cars and semi-trucks out the window.

Timothy is survived by two sisters, Carolyn Hubatka of Afton, and Barbara Mathews of Creston; three sisters-in-law, Sue Ripperger of Creston, Penny Ripperger of Thayer and Retta Ripperger of Afton; brother-in-law Don Keimig of Portsmouth, Va; 20 nieces, nephews; several great nieces and nephews, and many cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Michael and Katherine Ripperger and Donald and Anna Mulica; his brothers, Michael, Mark and Dennis; sisters, Dianna Craig and Beverly Keimig; brothers-in-law, Harold Hubatka, Fred Stickels, and Walter "Bud" Craig; and niece Denise O'Neall; and his nephews Matthew O'Neall and Dannel Ripperger.
