Timothy O'Dell Robbins May 19, 1949 – February 11, 2026
Timothy O'Dell Robbins, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on February 11, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on May 19, 1949, in
Yuba City, California, and raised in Yreka, Tim began his adult years in the Bay Area towns of Palo Alto and Los Altos, before settling in
Rancho Murieta, California for the last quarter of his life. He was a man anchored by devotion to family, a love of competition, and an enduring passion for the sports and pastimes that brought him joy.
Tim graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 1971 and went on to build a distinguished 50-year career in accounting and business advising. Through the Palo Alto Junior Chamber, the Jaycees, Tim found both professional opportunity and friendships that would last a lifetime. Following early roles across the public and private sectors, Tim built a long and rewarding career as a self-employed CPA, known for his deep commitment to his clients and the pride he took in his work.
A competitor at heart, Tim brought that same enthusiasm to everything he loved. He was a devoted fan of the San Francisco 49ers, the Giants, and the Golden State Warriors, and cherished the memories he made attending games and participating in sporting events with his father and brothers over the years. Never one to sit on the sidelines, Tim competed in recreational and league play across golf, tennis, basketball, and bowling. His dedication paid off in memorable fashion - a hole-in-one and a perfect 300 bowling game among the highlights. Tim was equally at home at the card table, where his love of pinochle became a tradition, he happily passed down to his family. In his later years, a daily backgammon game with Marcia was a ritual he rarely missed.
Tim was known for his quick wit and sense of humor. He never shied away from the dance floor, and relished opportunities to cut loose. His silliness and humor were on display most often at home, where he could be found singing (real or made-up tunes), showing off his acrobatic eye tricks, and unleashing the famous "Tarzan yell." Tim cared deeply for his family, and his love for them was a constant driving force throughout his life. In his later years, Tim found joy tending to his garden - with a special fondness for roses - exploring new vintages in Amador wine country, and savoring time at home with the family he loved.
Tim is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Marcia Robbins; his daughters Jillian Early (Kevin), Laurel Goodson (Jerry), and Abigail Dawson (Brad); and his grandchildren Brixton, Carter, Lee, Elliott, Cassandra, and Aria. He is also survived by his brothers Michael, Charles, and Spencer Robbins. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.D. and Madgel Robbins, and his sister, Kerri Robbins.
Tim will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him - a man of sharp mind, quick humor, generous spirit, and an even bigger heart.
The family is planning a celebration of life to be held in early summer.
