Tim Royster, 51, the son of the late Arthur Ray and his Mother Caroline Royster, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Stein Hospice in Sandusky Ohio.
Tim loved to refurbish old cars and trucks. He enjoyed going to Car Shows /Gun Shows and collecting military weapons and memorabilia.
He enjoyed hunting, seeking out wild mushrooms with friends, doing upholstery work and making knives from old steel files and wood.
As a teenager he worked for the NRA at Camp Perry Ohio where the love of antique guns started. Once he had owned his own gun store.
Some of the careers he held was a machinist at Biro Manufacturing, a firefighter, rescue diver, EMT and Police Officer.
He graduated with high honors as a carpenter from Pena County Vocational high school. Tim earned the title of Top Gun, (sharpshooter) while in the Police Academy.
Tim will be greatly missed by his mother, Caroline Royster, sister, Tammy (Dwayne) Pennington, nephews, Cody Pennington, Ryan Periandri and Micheal (Andrea) Pennington, nieces, Kaitlyn Pennington and Renanda Pennington, great nieces Zoey Parks and Brynlee Pennington, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, special friend, Brian Cleaver and his loving companion dog "Bella". He was proceeded in death by his father, Arthur Ray Royster, paternal and maternal grandparents and his beloved companion dog, "Shadow"
Pallbearers will be Tammy Pennington, Dwayne Pennington, Cody Pennington, Ryan Periandri, Kaitlyn Pennington, and Brian Cleaver.
Visitation for Tim will be Friday, April 3, 2026 from 11:00am-3pm and 5pm -8pm at the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 216 Washington St., Port Clinton, OH. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 4, 2026 at the funeral home with David Mowel (uncle) and Marcella Mowel (aunt) officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Memorial contributions in memory of Tim may be given to Island Safe Harbor Animal Sanctuary, Inc., Port Clinton or Stein Hospice, Sandusky.
