Timothy Thomas Saver

Timothy Thomas Saver, age 65 of Palisade, formerly of Shoreview, MN died September 22, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Tim had a passion for hockey; he started as a Mite and continued on through high school playing for the Mounds View Mustangs. The local paper wrote an article with a photo on the six Saver brothers all playing hockey in the Lake Region Hockey Association. Tim was very proud to be part of that with his brothers.
Tim worked thirty two years at Tyson Truck Lines in the warehouse and was the union steward.
Tim retired at 53 and settled in the small town of Palisade in Aitkin County, the perfect place to enjoy all the things he loved to do. Tim became close throughout the years with his neighbors the Kingsley's. Tim enjoyed hunting which he could do on his own property, fishing on the surrounding lakes, and ice fishing further north on Lake of the Woods. Tim belonged to the local gun club, where he enjoyed a variety of shooting sports. Tim hosted the local Youth Gun Safety Certification program once a year on his land. Tim enjoyed riding his motorcycle in the fall taking the back roads up north and riding his ATV on the many trails right from his home. Tim loved to go camping, just driving until he found the right spot, and enjoyed the quiet, the peace, and the beauty of nature. Tim enjoyed spending time with his niece, nephews, his grand nephew, Leo and his life-long best friend, Tim Fitzgerald.
Timothy is survived by his mother: Janet Ann Saver; siblings: Debra Jean Tyson, Michael Ray Saver, Cynthia Marie Saver and her husband Timothy Fitzgerald, Thomas Jay Saver, Gerald William Saver, Donald Ray Saver, Sheri Ann Schlemmer and her husband James, Wendy Marie Keran and her husband Christopher; niece: Megan; nephews: Matt, Tommy, Tony, Dusty, Jesse, Daniel and Gene; grand nephew: Leo; and many other relatives and friends.
Timothy is preceded in death by his father, Gerald Wilbur Saver; brothers, Michael Jay Saver and Rick Patrick Saver.
Visitation 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Holcomb-Henry-Boom-Purcell Funeral Home, Shoreview, MN.
