Mr. Timothy Dale “Ghandy” Sims, age 54, of Boaz, Alabama, died on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Marshall Medical Center South.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 2 o’clock pm in the McRae Chapel with Bro. Whitt Hibbs and Bro. Cale Dennis officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill #2 Cemetery in the Sims Community. A visitation will be on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Mr. Sims was born in Alabama on July 29, 1970, to Roger & Mary Thompson Sims. He was a driver for automobile dealers.
Mr. Sims is survived by his Uncles: John Bert & Glenda Thompson of Boaz, and Tommy Arthur & Kathy Thompson of Gadsden, Step-mother: Liz McClendon Sims of Albertville, Girl Friend: Tammy Mann of Guntersville, Nephew: Tyler Walker of Joppa and a Host of Cousins and Special Friends.
He was preceded in death by his Parents: Roger & Mary Sims, Brother: Terry Bert Sims, Grandparents: Burton & Rethal Sims, Bert & Dot Thompson, and Wynell Thompson, Uncle: Jimmy Thompson and Aunt: Martha Thompson.
Serving as pallbearers will be Steve Casey, Tyler Walker, Skip Pledger, Charles Wilson, Frank Caracci, Mark Evans, Dewayne Wray, and Anthony Thompson. Honorary pallbearers will be Marlin Lowrey, Chris Hayes, Neal McCoy, Kevin Buchanan, Brandon Sims, Tommy Sims, and Brad Hill.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests generous donations to Tim’s favorite charity, the 2nd Chance Animal Shelter, 130 County Road 398, Boaz, AL 35957.
