Janice Sims Obituary
She was born in Letart, WV to the late Harry Neal Flowers and Mildred Taylor Flowers. She is also preceded in death by her husband Donald Ernest Sims; and brothers, Marvin Flowers and Lowell Flowers.
She worked at BB&T in Saint Albans in the commercial loan department. She was also a faithful member of Riverlawn Presbyterian Church, St. Albans.
She is survived by children, Kevin Sims of St. Albans and Jane Carte (Craig) of Scott Depot; sister, Carolyn O'Reilly of Kansas City, Kansas; brothers, Ronald Flowers (Barbara) of Chicago, Illinois and Dennis Flowers (Gloria) of Letart; grandchildren, Matthew Carte (Samantha and her daughter Elara) and Stacee Lewis (Elliott); various nieces and nephews; and many other extended family and friends.
A Funeral service will be at 12:00 Noon Friday, February 13, 2026, at Bartlett-Nichols Funeral Home, with Rev. Chris Kilbert officiating. Burial will follow in Letart Evergreen Cemetery, Letart, West Virginia. You may visit with the family one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Janice's honor to Riverlawn Presbyterian Church at 2008 Pennsylvania Ave., St. Albans, WV 25177.

I have so many wonderful, funny memories with Janice..
I loved her dearly We worked together for 20 plus years & remained friends up until her passing. She was the kind of bestest friend that if I only talked to her once every 6 months, it was just like I had talked to her the day before. I´m going to miss her so....knowing I can pick the phone up & call her..

I was saddened to learn of Janice´s passing. She was a good friend to my mother and whenever I had the chance to speak with her, I enjoyed our conversation. Mom told me Janice remembered that I bought a frosty from Wendy´s for her back when Mom was staying at the senior facility for her broken wrist recovery and Janice was visiting her. I am glad that the frosty must have `hit the spot´ that day for her to mention it numerous over a year later.
I hope the dog is taken care of and can adjust to being without Janice. I hope your good memories of Janice will soften your grief.
