Mr. Timothy Bernard Smith, 57, of 104 Crestview Drive, transitioned on Sunday, January 12th, 2025. "Ed" was the light in any room; you were sure to leave with a laugh. Ed had a heart of gold, and was a friend to anyone he came in contact with.
Tim was born to the late Peggy Smith and the late John Dawkins. He was joined in matrimony with Pamela G. Smith on November 29th, 1986. Tim joined the United States Navy in 1986, where he was a boiler technician, and office on the USS Tattinal for 10 years. He also worked at Freightliner, and ended his career at Engineering Systems in 2012.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Lynn Jefferies and Jetannia Smith; grandchild, Jadyn Evans; a mother-in-law, Marilyn Smith; and a brother-in-law, Eugene Smith Jr.
In addition to his wife, left to cherish fond memories are six children, Chakia Hollis, Bryan Evans, Timothy Smith Jr., Princetta Smith, Shemar "Shaq" Smith, Timone Jefferies; a grandson reared in the home, Savion Smith; five brothers, John Smith, Reco Smith (Deon), John Wood, Nigia Dawkins, Varnell Gray; father-in-law, Eugene Smith; a brother-in-law, Tracey Smith (Rene); sister-in-law, April Littlejohn; six grandchildren, Kamara Evans, MaKayla Evans, Janiyah Sutton, Ariyah Evans, Neviya Smith; one great-grandson, Kairo Andrews; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
