Timothy “Porkey” Smith, age 64, passed away on December 27, 2025, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee.
He was born on March 31, 1961, to the late James Albert Smith and Anna Smith. Timothy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and public servant whose life was defined by service to others.
Timothy married Kim Bailey, and together they raised a dedicated and loving daughter. He proudly served the City of Mount Pleasant, Tennessee, as Fire Chief for over 20 years, dedicating his career to protecting and helping his community. His leadership, integrity, and compassion left a lasting impact on those he served alongside and the many lives he touched.
Porkey loved the outdoors, especially hunting, and found great joy in helping others with repair work and lending a helping hand whenever needed. He was a faithful member of Maury Hills Church, where he attended alongside his wife.
Above all else, Timothy cherished his family, especially his beloved granddaughter, who held a very special place in his heart.
He is survived by his wife, Kim Smith; daughter, Jennifer (Robby) Hannah; granddaughter, Harlee, whom he loved deeply; brother, David Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, James Albert Smith and Anna Smith, he was preceded in death by his brother, Mike Smith.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee.
A funeral service for Porkey will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Williams Funeral Home, with Dustin Laster officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbia, Tennessee.
The Mount Pleasant Fire Department will serve as pallbearers, honoring Porkey’s lifelong dedication and service to his community.
