Timothy Starr Obituary

Timothy Edwards Starr
Timothy Edwards Starr, 59, lifelong resident of South Windsor, and loving companion for over 20 years to Kimberly Andrulat, died peacefully on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at St. Francis Hospital, surrounded by his family. Tim was born in Hartford, CT, on April 30, 1966, the son of Robert S. Starr III and Edith (Deane) Starr.
Tim was a graduate of South Windsor High School with the Class of 1984 and went on to study several different trades at the Trade Career Institute in Windsor. Tim found his passion in woodworking and carpentry. He made a career restoring historic homes and in commercial and residential remodeling. He owned and operated New England Building & Associates.
Tim loved the outdoors; enjoyed hunting, fishing, sled dog racing in his younger years and spending time in Vermont. He was a talented woodworker and could make any project come to life. Throughout the years, he was a member of the 4-H Camp & Fair, Meadowlands Preservation in South Windsor, where he was active and cooked for all their events, and loved Setback at the K of C. You could always catch Tim wearing one of his many, endearing hats.
Tim was incredibly selfless; always ready to help anyone in need. He was a kind and caring son, companion, and proud father and grandfather, who loved his family. He will be dearly missed.
Along with his companion, Kimbery Andrulat, and his parents, Robert S. Starr III and Edith Starr all of South Windsor, he is survived by his daughter, Hannah Beth Starr (Jaquie) of St. Paul, MN; his grandchildren whom he adored, Quinton Starr and Phalen Starr both of Minneapolis, MN; his brother, Robert S. Starr IV (Carolyn) of Barre, VT; nieces, Analisa Starr Guthrie (Krishna), and Bailey Starr all of VT; close friends, Jenifer Andrulat and Lisa Friedrich of South Windsor; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
His family will receive friends for calling hours on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 2-5 p.m., at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor. A private family burial at Center Cemetery in South Windsor will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hartford County 4-H Camp, 29 Monroe Rd., Enfield, CT 06082. For online condolences, please visit www.carmonfuneralhome.com .

Yesterday

So sad to hear of Tim's passing. Spent a lot of time with Tim and his brother Bobby In Vermont snowmobiling. Tim was a dear friend of the Martin family for decades. He will be truly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Prayers for the family.
