Laurent W. "Lou" Robillard

Laurent W. "Lou" Robillard, 79, of Ellington, died peacefully on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Hartford Hospital. Lou was born in Hartford, CT, on January 2, 1947, son of the late Joseph A. and Marie Jeanne (Racine) Robillard.

He grew up in South Windsor and was a graduate of South Windsor High School. He served our country with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Upon returning from the service he settled in Rockville, before moving to East Hartford. Later in his life, he at last found a Comfortable home in Ellington CT . Lou worked as a skilled technician for the phone company, and retired after many years of service. He also worked for many years supporting the efforts of All-Brite Cleaning Company, with his Brother Bob, and his Best Friend, John Moreland

Lou was an avid outdoorsman and member of the East Windsor Fish & Game Club. Those who knew him would quickly recognize his quick wit, and dry humor. He was a regular for breakfast at Mitchells Restaurant in Vernon where he made many friends. A kind, caring, loving, and devoted father, brother, grandfather, and friend, he will be dearly missed.

He leaves his son, John Robillard and his wife Carole of Cheshire; his daughter, Lolita Membrino and her husband Tony of Bristol; his brother, Robert Robillard and his wife Deborah of Little Tree, SC, and his granddaughter, Tauney Kennedy of East Hartford

His family will receive friends for calling hours on Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 2-4 p.m., at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor with Military Honors presented by the U.S. Navy to follow at 4 p.m.
