Timothy Wayne Surfus, 50, of Fishers, IN passed away November 8, 2020. Tim was born in St. Louis County, MO on October 13, 1970 to parents, Roger Allen and Sandra Sue (Kilander) Surfus. He was a graduate of Francis Howell High School and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in political science from University of Missouri- St. Louis. Tim worked in Senior Management Process & Engineering for Verizon, retiring in 2018 after 25 years of service.
Tim, an eagle scout, was an award winning, team building, and Lean Six Sigma process improvement Regional Manager with Verizon. He enjoyed traveling with his family to tropical destinations. His dream was to own a restaurant on the water. He was an avid sports fan, enjoying the NFL, NHL, and MLB.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Sandra Surfus. He will be lovingly missed by his wife, Jeanine M. (Capstick) Surfus; children: Samantha, Taylor M. Surfus, and Jordyn M. Surfus; brother, Scott A. Surfus (Samantha); sister, Tammy M. Cayer (Brett); as well many beloved nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.
Visitation is from 11am until 1pm, Friday, November 13, 2020 at Flanner Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, where funeral services will immediately follow beginning at 1pm. Burial will follow services in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
