Timothy Paul Terhaar

Timothy Paul Terhaar went to be with our Lord in heaven on May 24, 2025, where he died peacefully at home in Flagstaff, AZ.
Tim was born in St. Cloud, Minnesota on May 2nd, 1951. His parents, Ted & Rosemary, moved the family to Scottsdale in 1960. After high school graduation, he attended college and during that time he met Frederik Fisher. Fred hired him for his excellent salesman skills, where he then began work at Fredrick Fisher Jewelers in Metro Center and went to become a registered jeweler through the Gemological Institute of America. This is where he met Lisa and upon meeting him, she called her mother and said she met the man she was going to marry. They were married on April 1, 1978, and have been married for 47 years.
Tim and Lisa moved to Flagstaff in 1980, went into debt beyond their wildest dreams, and opened their own Fredrick Fisher Jewelers which is currently operating for 45 years and counting. Tim was an active member of the community and sat on boards, volunteered, was involved in the American Cancer Society, Lions Club and Flagstaff Medical Center with their therapy dog Reba. He loved to travel, shop, and eat sweets. His love for his family was everything, and his grandchildren Molly, Madison, Sutton, and Westlyn were his greatest treasures. He is survived by his wife Lisa, his son and daughter in law Ryan and Annie Terhaar, his daughter Laura and his siblings Ted Jr, Mary, Tom, Patty, Debbie, Tony, and Barbie and their spouses and extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents Ted Sr, Rosemary and his brother Terry.
In lieu of flowers, Tim loved his desserts, so if you feel so inclined, bring a sweet treat to the celebration of life to share.
The Celebration of Life will be held at Flagstaff Elk's Lodge located at 2101 N San Francisco st. on Thursday June 12th from 2pm-5pm.
