LYNNFIELD – Mr. Timothy "TJ" Timmons, 64, passed away on Tuesday, February 7th, 2023. Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Cornelius and Carol (Melanson) Timmons.
Mr. Timmons was raised and educated in Lynnfield, graduating from Lynnfield High School class of 1977. TJ started his career with the Danvers Police Department in 1988 as a patrol officer and went on to service his community for 25 years, retiring in 2013. He was known throughout the department for his big heart, connection he made with his community, and his ability to make people laugh.
TJ loved visiting Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire, and spending time on his boat. He was a tinker and loved working on his remote airplanes. He always made it a point to make memories. He was known for his love of ghost stories and Halloween, always dressing up and decorating. TJ enjoyed the simple things in life- spending time with his family, friends, talking about his beloved dog Merlyn, watching a good Vikings game, and tuning into a NASCAR race.
TJ is survived by his beloved daughter Tyla Timmons of Exeter, NH, his brother Russell Timmons and his wife Nancy of Somersworth, NH, nephews Paul and Daniel, and niece Jennifer. He was a great-uncle to Jaiden, Ryker, Russell James "RJ", and Lane. He is also survived by his aunt, Bev Sullivan of Lowell, cousins Darryl Madden and his wife Lorraine, Doug Madden and his wife Mary, David Madden and his wife Beth, Deirdre and her husband David Ball, and good friends; Robert Peachey and his wife Stacey, and Diane and her husband John Drover.
