A Celebration of Life service for Timothy “Tim” Allen Touchstone, 72, will be held on Monday, July 3, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at University Church of Christ, 2045 E. 70th St., Shreveport, Louisiana. A visitation will be held at the church prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. Officiating the service will be Ministers Jerry Hodge and Joe Huffman.
Tim was born on January 25, 1951 in Ringgold, Louisiana to Raymond Bryant Touchstone and Willie Mae Bishop Touchstone. He passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2023 in Shreveport, Louisiana, following a brief illness.
Tim was a resident of Shreveport and graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1969. He began his retail career in 1967 at A&P Grocery Stores, moving into management at Albertson’s Grocery Store, Phar-Mor Drug Store, and Office Depot. He was a diehard LSU Tigers fan and enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys. He liked woodworking and spending time in his shop. Tim’s most memorable trait was his laughter. He loved laughing and making others laugh. He adored his grandchildren and spending time with them. Tim was ready to see those who had gone to Heaven before him and especially looked forward to seeing his sister, Myrna.
Tim is preceded in death by his father, mother, and his sister, Myrna Rae Touchstone. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Mary Beth Gentry Touchstone; daughter, Amanda (Mandy) Touchstone Sullivan and husband, Jason; son, Jason M. Touchstone; sister, Judy Touchstone Graves and husband, Morris; brother, W. Joseph Touchstone, M.D. and partner, Steve; grandchildren, Jackson Touchstone, Anna Kate Sullivan, and Evan Touchstone, along with his nieces and nephews.
