Timothy J. Tuohey passed away peacefully on May 5, 2025 at Penfield Place Nursing Home in Penfield, N.Y. He was predeceased by his parents Mark H. Tuohey Jr and Josephine S. Tuohey, his brother Seamus Tuohey and his brother-in-law, Bill Hasenauer. He is survived by his siblings, Mark (Marty) Tuohey III, Suzanne (Billy) Morley, Nancy Hasenauer, Michael (Ellen) Tuohey, Mary Jo Cluet and several nieces and nephews.

Tim had many challenges and struggles during his life. He was born with profound hearing loss and other disabilities. He was a social person, despite these challenges and always enjoyed interacting with other people.

Tim graduated from Brighton High School in 1972 where he received his initial training to eventually become a master carpenter. He worked at Monroe Forgings Co. in Rochester for nine years and later Eastman Kodak Co for twenty-five years. His specialty was property maintenance. After Kodak, he worked for three years for Manzi Transportation in Syracuse, N.Y. and then fifteen years for Ellicott Development in Buffalo, N.Y before retiring in 2023.

Tim was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer last October. He suffered several setbacks during the last six months and eventually decided to move back to Rochester in March. He resided at Penfield Place for the last month and a half of his life where he received outstanding care.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on July 26, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 601 Edgewood Avenue, Brighton, N.Y. Interment to immediately follow at White Haven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Sisters of St. Joseph, 150 French Road, Rochester, N.Y. 14618.

Dear Family members of Tim TUOHEY,

Our deepest sympathies and condolences to all of you on the passing of your family member Tim TUOHEY on 5/5/25 at Rochester, NY. Tim will be very much in our thoughts and prayers in the days ahead. I remember Tim very well from the formative years back in the 19th ward in Rochester, NY. I lost touch with Tim after moving out of Rochester back in 1982.

I know my brothers John and Marty still had some contact with Tim and other members of the Tuohey family over the years.

May the Good Lord be with Tim and all of the Tuohey family members in the days ahead. God bless Tim and all of you.

Our deepest sympathies,

James and Hiroko Moynihan

I did not know him except what Suzanne has shared and from what I have read. He is a beautiful soul.

My cousin Tim was an incredibly resilient person, dealing with so many challenges throughout his life but always a great sense of humor and looked to have fun whenever/wherever friends/family gathered! I have many fond memories of the fun we had at the Tuohey/Meyer gatherings over the years
RIP dear
