Timothy Scott Wald, the son of Donald and Phyllis (Blackman) Wald, was born on November 5, 1959, in Clarion, Iowa. He was raised and educated in Goldfield, graduating from Goldfield High School in 1978.
Tim worked for Warner Tiling, Stephens Trenching, and R&D Plumbing in Altoona, until his health forced him to stop working.
Tim enjoyed his fishing trips to Minnesota with brother and Minnesota relatives. He loved riding his motorcycle and playing with his remote control cars, drones, airplanes and boats. He also competed in backhoe competitions.
Tim passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, at the age of 63 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Survivors include his brother, Tom Wald (Margo) of Goldfield; sisters, Cindy Sherman (Richard) of Ankeny and Connie Frakes (Larry) of Audubon; nieces, Marcy Duncalf (Ben) and their children, Jordyce and Daven and Megan Kjergaard (Kyle) and their children, Aiden, Kye and Kamryn; nephews, Jeremy Sherman (Amanda) and their children, Nolan and Logan, Jonathan Sherman (Keri) and Eli Frakes (Mandy) and their children, Quinton and Lexi; life partner, Nita Rutan and her daughters, Angela and Samantha and his dog, Snickers.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 9, 2023, at Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield. A luncheon and fellowship with family and friends will be held at Oakridge following the burial.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
