Timothy Jay Webster

Timothy Jay Webster, age 67, of Hope Mills, North Carolina, passed away on February 15, 2026.

Born on January 12, 1959, in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Jay was the beloved son of the late Evelyn Louise Shepard and Walter Cecil Webster. Known to many by his middle name, Jay dedicated his life to service—both to his country and to his family.

A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Jay retired after 20 years of honorable service. Following his military career, he devoted his time to his loved ones, finding great joy in raising his cherished granddaughter, Selena.

Jay will be remembered for his gruff demeanor paired with a gentle and generous heart. His deep love for his family, unwavering loyalty, and sharp wit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. Among his family, his legendary skill as a chess player remains unmatched—no one could ever best him at the board.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 39 years, Jeanne Webster; his children, Steven, Crystal, and Jayson; and his treasured granddaughter, Selena.

A funeral service with full military honors will be held at Pinecrest  Funeral & Cremation Services in Hope Mills, North Carolina.
