Timothy Ray Werda, a cherished soul known for his generosity and loving nature, passed away peacefully on December 6th, 2024, in his hometown of Alpena, Michigan. Born on October 11th, 1958, Timothy's life was a testament to the enduring spirit of kindness and the strength of familial bonds.
A proud graduate of Alpena High School, Timothy went on to master the craft of carpentry, a trade where he not only built structures but also forged unwavering relationships with those within the community. His work was more than a profession; it was a way to connect with people, leaving a legacy of sturdy homes and cherished memories in his wake.
An avid fisherman, he found solace and joy in the calm waters, a hobby that allowed him to embrace the quiet moments of life. His skill in playing pool was unmatched, a testament to his focus and playful competitiveness. However, it was the time spent with his family and friends that truly filled his heart with happiness. Timothy's presence was a source of comfort and joy to those around him, embodying the role of a tender guardian and confidant.
He was known for his ability to light up a room with his humor and warmth, a "jack of all trades" in construction whose rough exterior belied a heart as soft and accommodating as a big teddy bear. Supporting causes like Toys for Kids and St. Jude, further showcasing his altruistic character.
Timothy is lovingly remembered by his son, John Krage and daughter-in-law Cindy Moon, his adored grandchildren Leo, Lillie, and Timothy Krage, and his sister Debbie. His life was built upon the foundation laid by his late parents, Leo and Marie (Wilson) Werda, and he now joins his brothers James and Max in eternal rest.
Per Timothy's wishes he has been taken for cremation with a memorial service to be held in the spring of 2025. McWilliams Funeral Home has assisted the family.
