Timothy Williams Obituary
He was born on February 9, 1953 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, one of two sons born to Robert Wright Williams and Barbara Akin Williams. Tim was a 1971 graduate of Somerset High School and furthered his career at Eastern Kentucky University obtaining his bachelor's degree. He was an accomplished businessman along with his business partner and life-long friend, Mac Godby. Together they owned and operated Somerset Foods for a number of years.
Tim was a kind-hearted, generous and outgoing person who was always willing to help others. In his leisure time, he enjoyed golfing, traveling with family and friends and horseracing, especially at Keenland. He was of the Christian Faith and was a member of the Somerset First Christian Church. He will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his only brother; Robert M. "Mickey" Williams.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his devoted wife, Belinda Sexton Williams of Somerset, whom he married on July 23, 1994 in Somerset. Together they have enjoyed 31 years of marriage together. He is also survived by one daughter; Stephanie (Scott) Gehring of Monticello, Kentucky and two grandchildren; Serinity Fairchild and Brandon Gehring of Monticello, one aunt and several nieces and nephews along with a special life long friend and business partner; Mac Godby of Somerset and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Monday, December 15, 2025 in the Chapel of Somerset Undertaking Co & Crematory. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 pm. Interment will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 in the Elk Springs Cemetery in Monticello, Kentucky.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Hospice of Lake Cumberland, 100 Parkway Drive, Somerset, Kentucky or the Pulaski County Alzheimer's Respite Center, P. O. Box 393, Somerset, Kentucky 42501. You may also offer condolences and sign the online Tribute Book at www.somersetundertaking.com
