Tina August O’Neal born August 4,1974 in Newark, New Jersey the daughter of Jonathan O’Neil and Cheryl Ann Watson-O’Neal; sister of Lisa O’Neal, Belinda O’Neal and Jonathan Watson; mother of Jasmine O’Neal and Kiara O’Neal and the grandmother of Lyndon O’Neal and who also was an aunt, cousin, and friend. She departed this earthly life on November 29, 2024.
Tina was a beautiful, intelligent, independent and amazing woman who grew up determined, focus, hustle hard and played basketball in the city of Newark, New Jersey. As a young child and young adult then she grew into the most wonderful best mother anyone could ask for and also a good friend a great listener and definitely gave great advice, always willing to help anyone in need. Tina is very kindhearted, humble and soft-spoken.
Tina is and will forever be loved and carried in our hearts as her daughters and granddaughter continue her legacy on. As she will be joining her mother Cheryl, Aunt Jackie, Aunt Niecy, Aunt Pauline, Aunt Denise Watson and Aunt Debora Murray.
Her journey took her through various places that shaped her character and spirit, including Riverview, FL, Bradenton, FL, and Newark, NJ. Tina pursued her education at Central High School and graduated from Upsala College, where she laid the foundation for a fulfilling career. She held significant roles in healthcare and administration, serving at esteemed institutions like BayCare Health System, Tampa General Hospital, and VCU Health System.
Tina’s dedication and professionalism earned her respect and admiration in every role she undertook. Tina was the glue that held her family together, a quiet warrior who tackled life’s challenges with grace and strength. She was the definition of integrity, always keeping her word and standing as a pillar of support for those she loved. Whether through her determination in fighting cancer with dignity or her unwavering commitment to her family, Tina inspired everyone around her.
Her friends and family remember her as easygoing and reliable, often saying, “I can show you better than I can tell you.” She was a rock who brought stability, love, and wisdom to every relationship she cherished. Her quiet strength and boundless generosity left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew her. It doesn’t end here as everyone continues the journey of life just know Tina is with you, we hold on to the values she upheld—integrity, love, and quiet strength—and the memories of her remarkable life. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family, including her beloved granddaughter, Londyn, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. Tina O’Neal: a life well-lived, a soul deeply loved, and a legacy that will endure forever.
