Tina M. Shirk, 65, of Bellefonte, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Eagle Valley Personal Care Home in Milesburg. Born on September 10, 1960, in Renovo, Tina was the daughter of the late Ronald and Pauline (Tassa) Lomax. In 2005, she married Samuel L. Shirk, who survives at home.
Tina was a 1978 graduate of Bucktail High School and later earned an Associate Degree from South Hills Business School in 2004. She was employed in the accounting department at All Traffic Solutions in State College.
She was an active member of the Milesburg American Legion Post 893, where she also belonged to the Legion Auxiliary, serving proudly as Past President, and was a member of the cemetery honor guard. Tina enjoyed spending time with friends, socializing, relaxing with a cold beer, and playing rip tickets.
Tina and Sam shared a love of camping, especially trips to Yogi Bear Campground. She was a member of Snow Shoe Rails to Trails and enjoyed riding her four-wheeler. Tina was also a devoted follower of girls' softball, closely supporting both local teams and Penn State teams.
In addition to her husband, Sam, Tina is survived by her children: Tyler H. Lykens of Milesburg; Sage J. Lykens and her husband, Cody Richards, of Julian; Mathew T. Shirk of Wingate; and Joshua A. Shirk and his wife, Kristen, of Runville. She is also survived by two grandchildren; Madison R. Lykens and Sydni Shirk.
She is further survived by her siblings: John Lomax and his wife, Sonia, of Snow Shoe; Mike Lomax and his wife, Sue, of Alabama; and Julia Keibler and her husband, Gary, of Blanchard.
In addition to her parents, Tina was preceded in death by one brother, Ronald Lomax.
In accordance with Tina's wishes, there will be no public services.
Arrangements are entrusted to Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, Inc., of Milesburg, PA. An online guestbook may be signed, and condolences may be shared with the family at www.daughenbaughfuneralhome.com.
