Tinah Laxton Ruthenberg, age 90, of Winfield, TN, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at the Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida, TN. Born July 1, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Alonzo and Elsie Owens Laxton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ruthenberg; daughter: Lisa Brown; sisters: Virgie Markle, Veda Posey, and Dean Carson; brothers: Leon Laxton, Lothery Laxton, Milford Laxton and Otis Laxton.
Tinah is survived by her daughter: Suzanne Brewington (Randy); son-in-law: David Brown; grandchildren: Nicole Sullivan, Shane Brown and April Brown; great grandchildren: Dilllon Bell, James Bell, Tanner Brown, Gracie Brown, Warren Sullivan, Harlie Sullivan, Lucas Sullivan, Lilly and Lylah Brown; great, great grandchildren: Isabella Stooksbury (Bella); and by bonus grandchildren: Randy Brewington (Kelsey), Daniel Brewington (Braiden), and Matthew Brewington (Sonny); sisters: Inez Troxel (Jack), and Barbara Woods; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.
Friends may visit with the Ruthenberg family on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Shane Fisk officiating.
Committal service will follow in the Laxton Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Shane Brown, Dylan Bell, James Bell, Tanner Brown, Warren Sullivan and Lucas Sullivan. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Daniel Brewington and Matt Brewington.
