T. M. Ralph Plantation Funeral Home - PlantationTodd Kevin Botelho, a cherished father, brother, son, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home on September 7, 2025, at the age of 64.
Born on April 14, 1961, in Hayward, California, Todd's journey through life was marked by his enduring spirit, love for family, and an infectious sense of humor that left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Todd spent many years in various jobs, ultimately finding his passion as a greenskeeper at Boca Grove Country Club, a role he cherished for the last twelve years of his life. His commitment to this work showcased his dedication and love for the outdoors, a theme that resonated throughout his life. As a member of Boca Raton High School, Class of '79, Todd’s character was shaped through the connections he fostered with friends and family.
Todd was an easygoing person known for making others feel welcomed. He possessed a remarkable ability to bring laughter into the lives of those around him, and he enjoyed sharing good moments with both family and friends. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, often spending quality time listening to music from the Marshall Tucker Band, Jimmy Buffett, Steve Miller Band, and the Allman Brothers. He cherished leisurely afternoons spent in his famous chair on the patio or porch, indulging in an ice-cold Budweiser while surrounded by loved ones.
A devoted father, Todd took great pride in raising his three sons, Tyler, Dylan, and Zachary, instilling values that helped them become successful members of society. His accomplishments in life are highlighted not only by his career but by the enduring relationships he built and the positive impact he had on his family.
He also enjoyed hobbies that reflected his love for community and companionship, including hosting barbecues and spending time fishing. Many joyful memories were made at his favorite local bar, the Hideaway in Boca Raton, where he would connect with lifelong friends over shared stories and laughter.
Todd's battle with lung cancer followed by brain cancer was a testament to his strength and resilience. He faced these challenges with grace and dignity, surrounded by his beloved sons, his sister Tonia, her husband Jimmy, his brother Tony, and his mother Dolores during his final moments, a true reflection of his deep family ties.
Todd was preceded in death by his father, Anthony Joseph Botelho, and his brother, Dennis Botelho, who remain cherished in the hearts of those who loved him.
In his passing, Todd leaves a profound legacy of love, laughter, and the importance of family. He will be remembered not only for his talents and interests but for the warmth he brought to those around him and the memories that will continue to inspire his family and friends.
