Todd Douglas DeFoe, 59 years, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Shiloh Assisted Living in Pequot Lakes, Minnesota. He was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the son of Larry DeFoe and Sandra Tanner (Cole), on December 31, 1964. He was a member of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa.
In his childhood, Todd loved hunting, fishing, surfing, and of course listening to 70-80's rock music. He graduated from Hill City High School. Todd was an over the road truck driver for most of his career. He believed he was the best driver, which we can't argue about. He married Terri DeFoe (Conley) in 1995 in Vegas and together they raised two amazing daughters. Todd was a dedicated family man for his girls. He loved being a cheerleader for his daughters. He loved attending any and all school and sports events, no matter how big or small they were. He loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed traveling, playing cribbage, hunting, fishing, and if you knew him you knew he loved Mountain Dew. Todd was funny (the funniest and most good looking if you asked him), athletic, and he will be remembered for his generous and caring nature. He loved his wife, daughters and mom deeply.
Todd was preceded in death by his grandma, Grace Cole; brother and sister-in-law, (Dale) Riley and Sherrie Walker; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is survived by his wife, Terri DeFoe; daughters, Krista and Kelly DeFoe; Mother, Sandra Tanner; and grandson, Braxton DeFoe.
No formal services will be held at this time, but the family will be hosting a celebration of life for immediate family members at a date still to be determined. In remembrance of Todd, please participate in the Alzheimer's Walk or donate to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.
