Born in Cambridge, England, Michele's family immigrated to the United States settling in Highland Park, NJ where she was a graduate of Highland Park High School class of 1967. In 1970 Michele married the love of her life William and the two settled in Carteret where they started their family and would raise their children.
Michele was pre-deceased by her parents, Kermit and Heather King; sons William "Billy" DeFoe in 1996 and James "Jamie" DeFoe in 2019 and her sister Victoria Manfriedi. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband William of 55 years, her daughter Lorraine Adames and her husband Mervin of Ocala, FL. Grandchildren; Bryanna Diaz, Jayden Adames, Jaykob Adames, Mckayla Adames and Mckenzee Adames. Great-grandchildren; Jayvien Diaz, Brooklyn Diaz and Camryn Diaz.
Funeral services will begin at 10:15 am on Friday July 11th at Chubenko Funeral Home 625 Port Reading Ave. Port Reading with interment to follow at Washington Monumental Cemetery 45 Hillside Ave. South River, NJ. The funeral home will open at 9:30 am.
Family and friends may pay respect on Thursday July 10th from 4pm to 8pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Michele's memory.
