Debra A. Jones, 70, of Carteret passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at John F. Kennedy Medical Center in Edison.

Born in Perth Amboy, Debra was a lifelong resident of Carteret and was employed with Pride Solvents and Chemical Company for 25 years, until her retirement. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Elias Byzantine Catholic Church in Carteret and was loved by everyone she came into contact with. Debra will always be remembered as a woman of faith along with her precious smile.

Debra was predeceased by her parents, Stephen and Rosalie Kokolus. Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Leonard "Lenny" Jones; sister in law, Rochelle Reed; nephew, Raymond; niece, Denise along with her cousins and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 from 9am to 10:30am at St. Elias Byzantine Catholic Church, 42 Cooke Avenue, Carteret, NJ 07008 immediately followed by Divine Funeral Liturgy. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Chubenko Funeral Home, 625 Port Reading Avenue, Port Reading, NJ 07064.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Debra may be made to Susan G. Komen Foundation.
